MCDRM Graduation of Batch 5 “KALASAG” with PLTGEN VICENTE D DANAO JR as Guest of Honor and Speaker

The Masters in Crisis and Disaster Risk Management (MCDRM) Batch 5 “KALASAG” will hold its Commencement Exercises this coming June 3, 2022, Friday, at 9:30 AM at the National Police College Heroes Hall, Camp Gen Mariano N Castañeda, Silang, Cavite

The Commencement Exercises will be graced by the OIC, PNP, PLTGEN VICENTE D DANAO JR as Guest of Honor and Speaker together with the PPSC President PLTGEN RICARDO F DE LEON (Ret.) Ph.D., PPSC Vice President for Administration PBGEN FERDINAND G SEVILLA (Ret.), MPSA, PPSC Vice President for Academics and NPC Director, DR ROMEO S MAGSALOS, MPSA, and MCDRM Program Dean, FSUPT MARICELIA L. ANTONIO (Ret.).

The MCDRM Batch 5 “KALASAG” is composed of 37 scholars from the government and private sectors under the supervision of the Philippine Public Safety College as its flagship program to prepare the next generation of competent crisis and disaster risk managers with a deep understanding of nature and Issues surrounding crisis and disaster risk management, and the regional and global necessity of experts.

The program is also aiming to strengthen the communities in the country that are geophysical, political, and sociological disaster risks handicapped by way of relevant training, sessions, and courses. Thus, building a critical mass of leaders, scholars, practitioners, and policy advisers who will take the lead in strengthening capacities towards climate change adaptation, effective disaster risk management, and crisis management.
