NPC MONITOR: 2023 Women’s Month Edition

Message of the Director
Every woman has a story to tell, just like you who faced COVID-19 head-on as health workers and frontliners, Many of you defied gravity to fulfill your dreams to pass their board exams, endured harassment, and now wear your most coveted badge of honor
and insignia. You, who became the anchor of your families and solely bore the responsibilities and obligations as breadwinners; women whose brave hearts were broken into pieces because of infidelity, betrayal, and rejection. Women who are longing
mothers, or first-time mothers.

This is the very essence of the 2023 National Women’s Month Celebration (NWMC) theme, “WE for Gender Equality & Inclusive Society” #WEcanbeEquALL! which endeavors to highlight the success, struggles, and sacrifices achieved by women and girls, across ages, profession, beliefs, economic status and cultural background towards women empowerment.

As your leader, while you are within the premises of NPC, I urged every man and woman to look forward to knowing all these women and look at you, in an evolutionized way. Remember that Eleanor Roosevelt said, “Women are like a teabag, you never know how strong she is until she gets in hot water. “ But I also observed why women are into coffee because WOMEN are like coffee too: STRONG AND HOT. I am deeply honored that once in your life, I have met the best and brightest women in this
generation.

Let me sincerely thank all the women who in one way or another have made our worlds, our communities, our homes, our schools, our workstations, and our hospitals more BEAUTIFUL TO LIVE. Mabuhay ang mga Juana!
