On July 31, 2024, the National Police College (NPC) held a crucial Summit: “Shake Up: Optimizing Resilience for the BIG ONE” event at the Heroes Hall in Silang, Cavite. This event underscored the importance of preparedness and resilience in the face of potential large-scale disasters, particularly focusing on the anticipated earthquake, commonly referred to as “The Big One.”
The event was graced by the presence of NPC Director Dr. Romeo S. Magsalos, MPSA, renowned for his hands-on leadership and dedication to enhancing the college’s infrastructure and curriculum. Dr. Magsalos emphasized readiness’s critical role in safeguarding the nation and the importance of continuous education and training in disaster resilience.
PBGEN Vert Chavez (Ret.), also in attendance, shared his extensive experience in crisis management and reinforced the need for a proactive approach to disaster preparedness.
