The National Police College (NPC) solemnly observed Ash Wednesday on March 5, 2025, marking the beginning of the Lenten season. The religious ceremony was attended by Catholic student officers from the Public Safety Officers Senior Executive Course (PSOSEC) and the Public Safety Officers Advanced Course (PSOAC), along with NPC staff members.

The event was officiated by PCPT John Ralph S. Teston and was held at the Heroes Hall within the NPC campus. The sacred observance included the imposition of ashes, symbolizing repentance and the renewal of faith. PCPT Teston delivered an inspiring homily, emphasizing the virtues of humility, sacrifice, and service—values that deeply resonate with law enforcement officers.

As an institution committed to ethical leadership and moral integrity, NPC ensures that faith-based traditions are observed to strengthen the spiritual well-being of its members. The event fostered a sense of unity and reflection, reminding officers of their duty to serve with compassion and righteousness.

The Ash Wednesday celebration at NPC reaffirmed the significance of faith in upholding the ideals of public safety and community service, setting the tone for a meaningful Lenten journey among its members.
