On March 20, 2025, under the initiative of Dr. Romeo S. Magsalos, DPSSG, MPSA, Director of the National Police College (NPC), the PSOAC Classes 2024-16 to 18 embarked on a Patriotic Tour in Intramuros, Fort Santiago, and the National Museum in Manila. This advocacy aims to instill historical awareness, nationalism, and a deeper appreciation for the country’s rich heritage among police officers.
Exploring the walls of Intramuros and Fort Santiago, the officers reflected on the sacrifices of Filipino heroes, particularly Dr. José Rizal, whose final footsteps in the fortress symbolize unwavering patriotism. The tour continued at the National Museum, where historical artifacts and cultural treasures reinforced their understanding of the nation’s identity.
Dr. Magsalos believes that law enforcers must not only uphold justice but also embrace national pride, fostering leadership anchored in history, integrity, and service to the Filipino people.
