The Philippines is not immune to cyber-attacks, particularly against its critical information systems and information structure, which necessitate the need to reinforce efforts to address strategic policy dimensions of cybersecurity and develop a national cyber defense capability. More so is the importance of creating public awareness through an intensified campaign showcasing cybersecurity information.
In line with the effort of the Philippine Government, the Philippine Public Safety College, through the seamless collaborative effort of the Center for Communication and Information Technology (CCIT) of the PPSC-Head Office and the Center for Cyber Security and Safety (CCSS) of the National Police College, a Webinar titled ” Cybersecurity and Safety Awareness in the Workplace” was held on Tuesday, September 20, 2022. Mr. Ofrates C. Siringan, a cybersecurity and safety expert, was the Guest Speaker. Meanwhile, PPSC President Sevilla fully supported the PPSC Digitalization during his welcome remarks.
